What to Expect During a CNA Certification
Finishing CNA training is good because it means that you are equipped with the necessary skills you need to be an excellent medical assistant. However, the process does not end there. Getting CAN certification is the final step in getting the job you always wanted in the medical field.
The main organization that provides CNA certification is the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program or better known as NNAAP. There are also about 250 CNA Certification programs approved by the American Nurse Association Commission of Nurse Accreditation to give CNA certification exams. Once you pass this exam, your name will be placed in the state’s nurse aide registry and you will be given a Certification which you can renew every year. In order to be eligible to take this exam, you should first meet certain requirements. You should be of good health, clean criminal record and drug-free. Due to these requirements, a background check as well as health checkups are conducted to make sure the candidate complies with these conditions. Also, to be a good medical assistant, one must be compassionate and has patience due to the nature of the job. Bear in mind that CNAs responsibilities are cyclical which you have to do every day.
